Dylan is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, composer and conductor who holds a Bachelor of Music with Honours and a Masters of music performance from the University of Melbourne. He is currently completing a master’s of teaching. Dylan’s teaching techniques draw on a wide range of excellent methodologies, including Kodaly and Suzuki.

Dylan has performed regularly with many of Melbourne’s best student and community orchestras as a double-bassist and has prepared students for AMEB exams on violin, cello, and double bass. As well as teaching orchestral strings, Dylan is also an experienced chorister who has performed with the Choir of Newman College, one of Melbourne University’s top choirs, he can teach to advanced levels of singing, classical and contemporary.

Dylan has also been studying the classical guitar for over ten years and has prepared students for AMEB and ABRSM exams in classical guitar.

Dylan has a long history as a performing rock/contemporary musician too, he has played and recorded with semi-professional touring bands for over ten years. He has prepared students for CPM exams on electric guitar, bass, and drums.
Dylan also teaches beginner to intermediate piano, with a history of great success getting young beginners to pass their first AMEB exam successfully with strong results. He has been teaching instrumental music for over ten years and has taught at many schools, independent and public, secondary and primary, as well as professional private centers.
